Job summary

U3 INFOTECH PTE. LTD. is seeking a Desktop Engineer to provide end-user IT support while identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks. The role emphasizes scripting, automation, and hands-on debugging of Windows-related issues.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or equivalent in IT and experience in desktop support, with knowledge of Batch scripting, VBScript, and Command Prompt. An interest in AI and digitalization is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in Desktop Support / Desktop Engineering or a similar IT support role.
• Knowledge of Batch scripting, VBScript and Command Prompt.
• Basic understanding of programming and scripting logic.
• Interest or experience in automation, AI and digitalization will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and end-user IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software and Windows-related issues.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine IT and administrative tasks.
• Use Command Prompt, Batch files and VBScript for automation and deployment activities.
• Identify repetitive processes and recommend automation solutions to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
• Support IT digitalization initiatives, including the use of AI-assisted tools and automation techniques.
• Troubleshoot and enhance automation scripts based on operational requirements.
• Document automation processes and provide technical support to users and IT teams.
