Job summary

UWCSEA Dover has a vacancy for August 2027 for a Teacher of High School and Middle School Design Technology. The successful candidate must be experienced and passionate about teaching Design and Technology.

The role will involve teaching both High School and Middle School students in curriculum areas such as Product Design and Food Technology (Middle School). At UWCSEA we offer our own concept-driven Design Technology and Food Technology courses in Middle School and in Grades 9 and 10.

Qualifications

• Good degree in Design and Technology or a closely related discipline is required.
• A recognized teaching qualification or certification is expected.
• Experience teaching Design and Technology to 11–18 age range is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct learning experiences that challenge and inspire students and address diverse learners with concept-based teaching and learning.
• Ensure assessments provide timely feedback on formative and summative assessments.
• Demonstrate effective classroom management mindful of academic, social and emotional learning; communicate with parents.
