Job summary

CHONG & LEE CONSULTING ENGINEERS LLP in Singapore is seeking a senior civil/structural engineer to lead small to medium projects, set engineering approach, and deliver design development and documentation with QA checks.

Ideal candidates hold a PE or are close to registration, have extensive C&S consultancy experience, strong client liaison skills, and proven leadership; local codes and international practices knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years C&S consultancy experience.
• Well versed in Eurocodes, NA and SS EN for RC/Steel design and detailing.
• University degree recognized by PEB, PE eligible or in final stage.
• Clear communication with clients, project consultants, government agencies and contractors.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and proactive problem solving.
• Technical, contract and project management experience may lead to higher post and remuneration.

• Lead small/medium projects and establish client requirements and engineering approach.
• Attend meetings, site inspections, and address site constraints.
• Oversee design development, QA/QC checks, and documentation to authorities.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years C&S consultancy experiences;
• Well versed in Eurocodes, NA and SS EN for RC and Steel Design, Detailing, Specifications and local regulations plus international code practices, such as ACI/AISC etc;
• University degree recognized by PEB, obtained PE or in the final stage of obtaining PE;
• Able to communicate clearly and liaise with the client, other Project Consultants, Government Agencies and Contractors;
• Be an efficient team leader, team player and proactive for problem solving.
• Well verse in technical, contract and project management will be considered for higher post and better remuneration.

Scopes

• Be a team lead for small/medium size projects or support PD/lead for complex projects and establish client's requirements, engineering approach, methodology of projects, design development and documentations;
• Attend meetings, consultations, site inspections and tackle site constraints/requests;
• Manage shedule, deliverables, QA/QC check of drawings, report and submissions to authorities;
