Job summary

Sembcorp seeks a Manager, Project Design to lead design development for industrial, commercial and mixed-use developments in Singapore. You will coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to deliver functional, sustainable and cost-efficient designs from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related discipline; professional registration advantageous.
• 8–10 years of experience in architectural design, design management, or development management.
• Experience on overseas development projects (Vietnam, Indonesia) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, feasibility, cost control, and value engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, BIM platforms, Adobe Suite, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop design solutions for industrial, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
• Evaluate opportunities and prepare feasibility studies and planning recommendations.
• Present design proposals and coordinate with management and stakeholders.
• Review proposals for functionality, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage external consultants and designers to ensure timely, quality delivery.
• Monitor progress and ensure adherence to budgets and approvals.
• Collaborate with development, leasing, operations, and engineering teams.
• Provide design guidance during construction and handle value engineering.
