Endowus is an award-winning, independent fee-only wealth platform licensed in Singapore (MAS 101051) and Hong Kong (SFC BQR225). We serve over 300,000 clients—individuals, family offices, charities, and institutions with over US$12 billion in assets under advice. Our mission: help people invest better so they can live easier today, and better tomorrow. Today, we work with 100+ global leading asset managers across major asset classes—public markets, private markets, hedge funds and alternatives and make it our job to assess and access their Best‑in‑Class funds, and advise clients on how to invest in these funds to reach their goals. Our mission is clear: help people invest better so they can live easier today, and better tomorrow. The team has deep domain knowledge in finance and technology, bringing together decades of experience from various banks and tech companies. We treasure our diversity in background and experience, and we look for people who share these beliefs in our mission.
Endowus is hiring a Design Lead, the most senior design role at the company. Over 300,000 clients use our platform to invest their cash, CPF, and SRS savings in Singapore and Hong Kong, and the experiences they move through every day—spanning onboarding, funding, goal tracking, portfolio management, retirement solutions across pension scheme and cash savings, and private wealth—are this role's responsibility. The flagship mandate for this seat is our retirement proposition. Endowus is the only digital advisor in the region spanning private wealth and public pension, and how clients plan for, invest towards, and ultimately draw down for retirement is the experience we most need design leadership on. You’ll own that end to end, alongside the broader platform. This is a player‑coach seat. You’ll manage the design team working across both markets, and you’ll keep designing yourself; the balance between the two is yours to manage as the product and team evolve. You’ll work directly with the CEO and with product and engineering leaders, close enough to the business that design decisions and business decisions are often the same conversation.
Set the direction Design at Endowus should have a point of view, and yours will carry the most weight. You’ll define a design vision that holds together across everything a client touches, from their first deposit through goal tracking, portfolio management, and private wealth, so the platform feels like one product across two markets rather than a collection of features. A key focus will be advancing our retirement solutions — how clients plan, invest and ultimately draw down their pension funds and cash savings for retirement, across both Singapore and Hong Kong — an area where design quality directly determines whether people trust the platform with decades‑long decisions. Much of the work is translation: taking financial concepts that are genuinely complex and making them feel simple and honest. You’ll also shape the evolution of our advisory experience, ensuring that every design decision directly builds value for our clients. You’ll be in the room when problems are framed, not brought in after they've been scoped.
Hold the bar We ship often, and the pace is real, so we build quality into our team processes to ensure consistent excellence from the start. You’ll set the processes, standards, and frameworks that let the team move fast without the work getting thin, and you’ll stay hands on yourself, taking the most complex problems from research through information architecture, interaction, and final UI. Design calls get backed by evidence: user research, experimentation, product analytics.
Build the team You’ll lead, mentor, and grow a small team of product designers across Singapore and Hong Kong workstreams, and build the kind of team culture that good designers seek out and stay for. Partnerships matter as much as management here: with product and engineering from problem framing through launch, and with the compliance, legal, and marketing teams a regulated wealth platform can't ship without. You’ll also be design's voice at the leadership level, connecting client needs, business goals, and the team's output into a narrative that senior stakeholders can act on.
Reshape the practice AI is changing what it means to practise design, and we'd rather lead that shift than absorb it. You’ll decide how the team adopts AI‑assisted workflows, which parts of the traditional process to rethink, and how design's role at Endowus evolves as the tools do. This isn't a side project; the same shift is happening inside our product, and the team that designs AI features should be fluent in working with AI itself.
We hire people who build. Ownership here means outcomes, not tasks, and the people who do well would rather carve out a mandate than wait for one. We think from first principles, move quickly without being careless, and hold a high standard because the people trusting us with their money deserve one. Directness and low ego matter more than titles, and we expect everyone to fold AI into how they work, not just what they ship. As a fiduciary, we only win when our clients do. That shapes how we design: honestly, clearly, and for the long term. We work in a flexible, hybrid structure. You'll have real influence over what gets built, and the room to define what design leadership at Endowus looks like. If shaping how a generation across Singapore and Hong Kong invests sounds like your kind of problem, we should talk.
