Job summary

• Check detailed design and drawings against relevant codes and client specifications, ensuring cost-efficient design methods.
• Liaise with Project Department to obtain information for detailed design.
• Determine load combinations for design and select the most economical and safe configuration.
• Control and issue all technical documents.
• Adhoc project assignments from Design Manager.

Job description

• a) Responsible for the formulation of schedules and datelines for design and date of submission.
• b) Check detailed design and drawings based on relevant codes and client specifications, while ensuring the most cost efficient methods of design are used.
• c) Liaise and co-ordinate with Project Department to obtain relevant information for detailed design.
• d) Determine the conditions and study all pertaining data thoroughly and accurately for a design. Many different combinations of loadings are possible and the most probable combination of simultaneous load for an economical and safe design is selected.
• e) Control and issue all technical documents.
• Any adhoc project assigned by Design Manager.
