Job summary

SUNRAY WOODCRAFT CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD seeks a senior draftsman to lead the technical drawings for complex and large projects. You will oversee a team of drafters, ensure drawings meet time schedules and conform to construction specifications, and submit shop drawings to main contractors and architects.

You will attend site, progress, and design meetings, coordinate inspections with consultants, and monitor the team to ensure timely project completion.

Job description

Responsible for technical drawings of morecomplex/large projects or oversee a team of drafters. Ensures that technical drawings are prepared according to time schedule and conform to specifications for construction.

• Supervises and monitors the progress of shop drawings by team members for approval submission;
• Ensures the understanding and compliance of drawings with standards and specifications;
• Ensures understanding of project scope and requirements that impact accuracy of shop drawings;
• Prepares shop drawings and necessary documentation submission to main contractors/architects, etc;
• Prepares and updates status of shop drawing submission list for each project;
• Highlights and discusses any discrepancies on items/materials with relevant parties;
• Assists subordinates in the preparation of shop drawing details;
• Co-ordinates and arranges structural and architectural inspections with consultants;
• Prepares shop drawing schedule and submission to consultants for approval;
• Attends site meetings, progress and design meetings to provide status updates and resolves design and other issues;
• Works closely with project team members, clients and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects;
• Monitors and coaches the performance of team members;
• Promote steam spirit and ensures good morale exists among team members;
