Job summary

Singapore Julong International Investment Pte Ltd is building an early-stage trading team in Singapore. The Derivatives Trading Specialist will execute trading instructions, monitor risk, and support portfolio valuation across global markets.

You will collect market data, prepare regular analyses, and collaborate with the finance and tech teams to refine strategies, with a focus on futures, options and other contracts. Fluency in Mandarin is required for China counterparties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute derivatives and forward/future contracts and/or other financial products trading instructions.
• Collect and organize information related to assigned product and establish a database to evaluate the market technically and fundamentally.
• Prepare regular reports on assigned products to develop position-taking strategies on key markets.
• Maintain real-time trading portfolio position to assist pricing and valuation.
• Reconcile trades with broker statements and maintain reporting of derivative transactions.
• Monitor margin calls and cash related to derivatives and optimize positions with finance team.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance algorithmic trading and back testing.
• Assist in reports, meetings and cross-regional coordination.

We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our trading team as a Derivatives Trading Specialist. The role covers market research, data tracking, strategy review, meeting documentation, trading support, risk monitoring, project documentation, and cross-regional coordination.

We're an early-stage team, still shaping our processes — looking for someone with a strong interest in trading execution, portfolio management, market analysis, and risk management, who's comfortable with a fluid, evolving work environment and excited to help build our systems from the ground up.

Fluent in Mandarin (to liaise with China counterparties/clients)

• Execute derivatives and forward/future contracts and/or other financial products trading instructions.
• Collect and organize information related to assigned product and establish database to evaluate the market fundamentally and technically by following up supply, demand, global/regional geo-political developments and market dynamics.
• Conduct research, analysis, and prepare regular reports on assigned products on daily and weekly basis to develop position-taking strategies on key markets.
• Maintain real-time trading portfolio position to facilitate contracts pricing and portfolio valuation.
• Reconcile executed derivatives trades with broker statements and confirmations on daily basis.
• Maintain accurate reporting of derivative transactions and results.
• Monitor margin calls/excess cash related to derivatives and work with finance team to optimize positions across brokers to minimize cash utilization.
• Leverage AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance algorithmic trading, automated trade execution, market analysis, strategy development, and back testing.
• Handling reports and performing assistant functions
• Participate company internal meeting, oversea training and undertake other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor degree in finance, economics, math or a related field
• Possesses strong interest in financial markets.

• Basic knowledge of futures and options.
