Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's/Doctorate in Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in special education with 3 years in supervision.
• Experience with children who have special needs, delays or learning difficulties.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Programme Management and Student Support to ensure inclusion.
• Coordinate student placement assessments and class allocations.
• Oversee IEPs, progress reports, and student records.
• Support curriculum planning, resources, and programme development.
• Organise parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and family communication.
• Lead and coordinate support services with teachers, therapists, and parents.
• Mentor teaching staff, assistants, volunteers, and interns.
• Organise team meetings and assist with staff performance reviews.
• Ensure documentation and records are maintained.
• Manage staff deployment and scheduling during absences.
• Support audits, SOP updates, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with projects, resource planning, and operational improvements.
• Prepare materials for school events, outings, marketing, and workshops.

Job description

We are seeking apassionate and organised Deputy Head of Early Intervention Programme (EIP) to support the leadership and operations of our EIP. The role involvesoverseeing student support services, curriculum coordination, parent engagement, team mentoring, and programme development to ensurehigh-quality inclusive education for students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Management & Student Support

• Conduct small group teaching sessions for children with learning difficulties when required.
• Coordinate student placement assessments and class allocations.
• Oversee Individualised Education Plans (IEPs), progress reports, and student records.
• Support curriculum planning, classroom resources, and programme development.
• Organise parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and communication with families.
• Lead and coordinate student support services, working closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure effective learning, behavioural support, and implementation of IEPs for students with diverse learning needs.
• Oversee assessments, inclusive education practices, and the training and supervision of teaching assistants, volunteers, and interns to support high-quality intervention services.
• Mentor and support EIP teachers, assistants, volunteers, and interns.
• Organise team meetings and assist with staff performance reviews.
• Ensure teaching documentation and record-keeping standards are maintained.
• Manage staff deployment and scheduling during absences.
• Support audits, SOP updates, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with projects, resource planning, and operational improvements.
• Prepare materials for school events, outings, marketing, and workshops.

Requirements

• Master / Degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in special education with 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience working with children with special needs, developmental delays, or learning difficulties is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
