Job summary

SMILE DESIGN DENTAL PRACTICE PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a dedicated Dental Assistant to support dentists with chairside procedures and deliver exceptional patient care using high-tech dental tools.

You will assist with digital X-ray, intraoral scanning and CAD/CAM workflows, maintain stringent infection control, and manage materials and records with on-the-job training. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside for general, cosmetic, surgical and all dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms with high-tech equipment (intraoral scanners, digital X-ray units, CAD/CAM).
• Assist dentists in taking digital X-rays, photographs and 3D scans.
• Maintain infection control and sterilisation protocols.
• Manage dental materials, instruments and advanced dental technology.
• Update and maintain patient records in practice management software.
• Coordinate with dental labs.
• Monitor and restock clinical supplies and materials.
• Operate and troubleshoot digital equipment and software.

1. Assist dentists chairside for general, cosmetic, surgical and all dental-related procedures.
2. Prepare treatment rooms with required high-tech equipment (intraoral scanners, digital X-ray units, CAD/CAM systems).
3. Assist dentists in taking digital X-rays, photographs and 3D scans.
4. Maintain stringent infection control and sterilisation protocols.
5. Manage dental materials, instruments and advanced dental technology.

Patient Care:

1. Greet patients with professionalism and warmth.
2. Provide reassurance and clear explanations of procedures.
3. Monitor patient comfort; offer amenities such as blankets, headphones, and neck pillows.
4. Give detailed post-op care instructions.

Administrative and Technical Support:

1. Accurately update and maintain patient records in practice management software.
2. Coordinate with dental labs.
3. Monitor and restock clinical supplies and materials.
4. Operate and troubleshoot digital equipment and software.
