Job summary

ASSAB STEELS SINGAPORE (PTE) LTD is seeking a meticulous Delivery Driver cum Warehouse Assistant to support transportation, delivery and warehouse operations, ensuring safe vehicle operation, accurate order fulfilment and strong customer service.

You will load/unload, perform vehicle checks, maintain logs, handle inventory checks, and assist with packing and storage while upholding safety and efficiency. Singapore-based role with a valid Class 3 license and 1–2 years driving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school education or equivalent.
• Basic literacy and numeracy required.
• 1–2 years driving experience preferred.
• Experience in logistics, distribution, courier services, or transportation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 3 vehicles safely for deliveries and collections.
• Load/unload goods and ensure accuracy with delivery orders.
• Maintain daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Keep accurate logs of mileage, fuel, and deliveries.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries and interactions.
• Assist with receiving, packing, and stocking when not out for deliveries.

Our member company is seeking a meticulous and motivated Delivery Driver cum Warehouse Assistant to join the team In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting transportation, delivery and warehouse operations by ensuring safe vehicle operation, accurate order fulfilment, inventory management and excellent customer service.

Job Description

1) Transportation and Delivery

• Operate Class 3 vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Deliver and collection of goods to and from customers according to assigned schedules and routes.
• Load and unload goods when required.
• Ensure items delivered match delivery orders and documentation.
• Collect and return signed delivery documents.

2) Vehicle Maintenance

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after operations.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure roadworthiness.
• Arrange servicing and repairs as instructed.

3) Compliance and Safety

• Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company safety procedures.
• Ensure proper securing of cargo during transportation.
• Follow workplace safety and health requirements.
• Maintain a valid Class 3 driving license at all times.

4) Documentation and Administration

• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery records.
• Complete delivery notes, collection forms, and related documentation.

5) Customer Service

• Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Handle customer inquiries courteously during deliveries.
• Represent the company positively when interacting with clients.

6) When Not Out for Delivery

• Receiving and unloading incoming deliveries.
• Checking and verifying inventory against delivery documents.
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Organizing and storing goods in designated locations.
• Performing stock counts and inventory checks.
• Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
• Operating warehouse equipment (such as pallet jacks or forklifts, if certified).
• Assisting with loading and unloading of goods.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum Secondary School education preferred.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Minimum 1-2 years of driving experience preferred.
• Experience in logistics, distribution, courier services, or transportation is an advantage.

Licensing Requirements

• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License.
• No major traffic violations or suspensions.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Singapore road networks and routes.
• Ability to operate delivery vehicles safely.
• Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to complete delivery documentation accurately.

Physical Requirements

• Physically fit and able to lift and carry goods.
• Able to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
• Good eyesight and overall health suitable for driving duties.
