Job summary

JEFF SUPPLIES PTE LTD is seeking a responsible Class 3 Driver to support daily delivery and collection operations in Singapore. The role covers safe transport of goods, loading/unloading, basic customer service, and accurate documentation. You will also ensure vehicle safety and proper care of the vehicle and cargo.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, safety-conscious, and willing to perform hands-on work, including building strong customer relations and adhering to schedules and procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Singapore Class 3 driving license.
• Able and willing to drive manual transmission vehicles, including vans and lorries.
• Good and safe driving record.
• Physically fit and able to perform regular loading and unloading of goods/equipment.
• Comfortable working at customer sites and interacting with customers.
• Able to use smartphones/tablets for documentation.

Job description

We are looking for responsible and reliable Class 3 Driver to support our daily delivery and collection operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods, machines and equipment between our premises and customers' locations.

The role involves more than driving. It requires loading, unloading, delivery, collection, basic customer service, documentation and proper care of the company's vehicle and goods . The candidate must be physically fit, safety-conscious and willing to perform hands-on work.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Delivery & Collection

  • Safely operate the company's assigned Class 3 manual vehicle , including vans and/or lorries.
  • Load goods, machines, equipment and other items onto the vehicle safely and securely.
  • Deliver goods to customers according to the assigned schedule and instructions.
  • Unload and place goods at the customer's designated location where required.
  • Collect machines and equipment from customers for servicing, repair or other operational requirements.
  • Check that the correct goods and quantities are collected or delivered.
  • Obtain acknowledgement of delivery/collection and complete the required documentation.

• 2. Loading & Physical Work

  • Perform physical loading and unloading of goods, machines and equipment.
  • Handle products carefully to prevent damage to goods, customer property and company equipment.
  • Use appropriate equipment and safe lifting practices when handling heavier items.
  • Ensure goods are properly secured before driving.

• 3. Customer Service

  • Maintain a professional, courteous and helpful manner when dealing with customers.
  • Represent the company positively when making deliveries and collections.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding delivery, collection and documentation matters.
  • Escalate customer issues or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.

• 4. Safety & Road Responsibility

  • Drive defensively and comply with all traffic laws and road safety requirements.
  • Conduct appropriate vehicle checks before use.
  • Ensure the vehicle and its load are safe and properly secured before travelling.
  • Exercise care when loading, unloading and manoeuvring at customer premises.
  • Immediately report accidents, vehicle defects, damaged goods or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of personal, road and workplace safety at all times.

• 5. Vehicle Maintenance & Care

  • Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned company vehicle.
  • Conduct regular basic checks on tyres, lights, fluids, brakes and other visible vehicle conditions.
  • Send the vehicle for servicing, inspection, repair or maintenance as instructed.
  • Report any vehicle faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked and secured appropriately when not in use.
  • Take responsibility for the proper care and use of the company's vehicle.

• 6. Digital Documentation

  • Use mobile phones, tablets or other digital devices for delivery and collection documentation.
  • Update delivery/collection records accurately and promptly.
  • Capture photographs, obtain electronic signatures or complete digital forms where required.
  • Maintain accurate records of goods delivered, collected and returned.

• 7. General Operations Support

  • Assist the Operations team with other logistics and warehouse-related duties when required.
  • Support the movement and organisation of machines, equipment and goods within the company's premises.
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Valid Singapore Class 3 driving license.

Preferred Qualities

• Previous experience in delivery, logistics, warehouse or equipment handling.

• Experience handling machines, cleaning equipment or other bulky equipment.
• Good understanding of safe loading and securing of goods.
