Job summary

DE TAI FOOD SUPPLY PTE. LTD. is seeking a delivery professional in Singapore to ensure timely delivery of chilled, frozen and other food products. The role involves loading and unloading, verifying orders, obtaining customer signatures, and maintaining accurate delivery records.

You will collect payments when instructed, perform basic vehicle checks, and ensure adherence to food-safety procedures while maintaining professional customer service and supporting warehouse duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to customers according to the daily delivery schedule.
• Load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle and assist as needed.
• Verify delivery orders and quantities before leaving premises; report discrepancies.
• Obtain customer acknowledgment for completed deliveries and maintain records.
• Collect payments when instructed and handle money responsibly.
• Perform basic daily vehicle checks and keep the vehicle clean.
• Drive safely and comply with traffic laws; avoid using mobile devices while driving.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene, and cold-chain procedures during transport and handling.
• Maintain professional conduct with customers and suppliers; escalate complaints as required.
• Assist with general delivery-related duties and warehouse/dispatch support when needed.

The employee's duties include:

1. Delivery of GoodsDeliver chilled, frozen and other food products to customers according to the daily delivery schedule.Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and within the required delivery time.Follow the delivery route and instructions assigned by the Company.
2. Loading and UnloadingAssist with loading goods into the delivery vehicle before departure.Unload and carry goods to the customer's designated receiving area where reasonably required.Handle products carefully to prevent damage, contamination or temperature abuse.
3. Order VerificationCheck delivery orders, invoices, delivery orders ("DOs") and quantities before leaving the Company's premises.Verify that the correct products and quantities are delivered to each customer.Immediately report shortages, rejected goods, incorrect deliveries or damaged products to the office.
4. Delivery DocumentationObtain customer acknowledgement, signature, stamp or electronic confirmation for completed deliveries where required.Return signed DOs, invoices, rejected-goods documentation and other delivery records to the office.Maintain accurate delivery records.
5. Cash / Payment CollectionCollect cash, cheque or other authorised payments from customers when instructed by the Company.Ensure all monies or cheques collected are handed to the authorised Company representative promptly.The employee must not retain, borrow or use Company or customer monies for personal purposes.
6. Vehicle ResponsibilitiesConduct reasonable daily checks of the assigned vehicle, including tyres, lights, fuel level and general condition.Keep the vehicle reasonably clean and suitable for food delivery.Notify Management promptly of mechanical problems, damage, accidents or warning lights.Ensure the vehicle is properly locked and secured when unattended.The Company vehicle must not be used for unauthorised personal purposes.
7. Safe DrivingObserve all traffic laws and road-safety requirements.Drive safely and responsibly at all times.The employee must not use a mobile phone while driving except through legally permitted hands-free arrangements.Any accident, collision or traffic incident involving the Company vehicle must be reported to Management immediately or as soon as reasonably practicable.
8. Food SafetyFollow the Company's food-safety, hygiene and cold-chain procedures.Ensure chilled and frozen products are transported and handled according to Company requirements.Keep the vehicle and delivery area free from contamination.
9. Customer ServiceMaintain professional and respectful conduct when dealing with customers, suppliers and members of the public.Refer complaints or disputes to the office rather than arguing with customers.
10. General Operational Duties

• Assist with reasonable delivery-related duties including preparation of orders, movement of goods, loading, unloading and general warehouse or dispatch support when required.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to the employee's position as assigned by Management.
