Job Description & Requirements
The Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires a focus on safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to follow company procedures for vehicle maintenance and route planning. The ideal candidate should have a valid driver’s license (preferably Class 3), a good driving record, and the ability to manage transportation logistics effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation of Goods
- Safely drive company vehicles to transport goods to specified locations within the scheduled time frame.
- Ensure timely and efficient deliveries, adhering to route plans and customer requirements.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary.
Vehicle Maintenance and Safety
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle both inside and out.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and traffic laws at all times, ensuring secure transport of goods.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Complete and submit necessary paperwork such as delivery logs, receipts, and inspection forms.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or delays promptly to the supervisor.
Customer Interaction
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including timely and safe unloading of goods.
- Ensure that all goods are delivered in good condition and as requested.
Compliance and Safety
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, reducing the risk of damage or loss.
- Maintain a good driving record and remain updated on relevant commercial driving regulations (if applicable).
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license (preferablyClass 3).
- Proven driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of road safety, traffic laws, and company procedures.
- Ability to operate various types of vehicles (vans, trucks, etc.).
- Physical fitness to load/unload goods, if necessary.

Work Environment
