Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (Singapore Branch) is seeking a Defect Management (DM) Process Engineer to drive process stability and defect reduction in wafer production. You will utilize data analytics and inspection sampling strategies to address yield issues within cycle time constraints.

Collaborating with product and process owners, you will create and manage improvement projects, monitor inline defects, support production ramp-ups, and contribute to cost index optimization through

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or physics field.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day monitoring of inline defect abnormalities and timely escalation handling and disposition.
• Support production ramp-up, new process implementation and process characterization for project success.
• Evaluate and implement productivity projects for DM production, tool and cost index improvement.
• Define and deploy inspection tool recipes best known methods to ensure detection capability.
• Assist in customer audits on inspection strategy deployment and execution; perform baseline defect improvement.
