Job summary

ITCAN PTE. LIMITED is seeking an Application DBA in Singapore to perform mainframe DB2 on z/OS administration, design and review database objects, and support backup/recovery. You will work with the application team to optimize data models and ensure robust data governance.

Qualifications

Requires at least 4 years of mainframe DB2 on z/OS administration experience.
Experience migrating data from Mainframe DB2 on z/OS to flatfiles using scripts/tools.
Knowledge of MS SQL Server, DB2 UDB, and cloud platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

Migrate data from Mainframe DB2 on z/OS to flatfiles using scripts or tools.
Plan and perform database migration.
Monitor & measure the performance & availability of databases; implement corrective actions.
Monitor service levels, document & maintain database configurations; provide regular reports.
Ensure service levels meet requirements; lead databases per SOPs.
Implement backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plans.
Define data governance policies related to database operations; manage permissions and naming standards.
Keep abreast of database technologies; be a strong team player.
Review database design with application teams and suggest data model improvements.
