Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Data Center FieldOps Technician to support MAC activities, hardware installs, labeling, and daily datacenter operations. You will work with copper and fiber cabling, perform testing, and maintain detailed documentation while upholding safety and security protocols.

This role requires shift flexibility, on-call duties, and about 25% travel. You will use DCIM tools and testing devices (OTDR, Fluke) to ensure reliable connectivity and data center performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with data center MACs and hardware installation.
• Ability to document work orders and maintain logs accurately.
• Familiarity with fiber copper terminations and testing.

Responsibilities

• Support scheduled MACs, hardware installation, labeling, power and network connectivity.
• Manage assets, tickets, and daily work logs; provide on-call support as needed.
• Perform testing with OTDR, Fluke and related tools to verify connections.
• Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and documentation per project plans.
• Maintain safety, security, and site/environmental procedures; log health metrics.
