Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking a Data Scientist at the intermediate to senior level to conduct rigorous research, design scalable privacy-aware data workflows, and translate findings into practical tools across government agencies. You will work across the Data Practice, partnering with data scientists, engineers, and policy teams to deliver impactful data-driven solutions for public services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; 2–3 years of relevant experience for intermediate level.
• Strong data science and ML skillset with model development experience.
• Proficient Python programming with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).

Responsibilities

• Applied Research & Development
• Design experiments to evaluate PETs and AI solutions
• Develop proof-of-concepts with real-world impact
• Collaborate with agencies to understand privacy challenges
• Pilot programmes to test PET solutions
• End-to-end solution development for government adoption
• Mentor team members and lead initiatives
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with policy and engineering
