Job summary

TikTok is seeking a data scientist to apply rigorous quantitative methods to safeguard content, users and privacy on a global platform. You will build metrics systems for content safety, conduct experiments, and provide data-driven insights to guide policy decisions.

You will collaborate with product, operations, R&D and algorithms teams to translate analytics into actionable improvements, and develop reusable data products that empower business teams with efficient data services.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data science experience in internet/content platform safety.
• Proficient in SQL and data analysis tools (Python/R); strong visualization skills.
• Familiar with machine learning principles, causal inference and A/B testing.

Responsibilities

• Leverage data science to safeguard content, users and privacy on TikTok.
• Design and maintain core metrics systems for platform safety and risk.
• Apply statistical methods to evaluate policy effectiveness and optimize experiments.
• Develop quantitative analysis systems to identify optimization opportunities and drive implementation.
