Job summary

NCS is seeking a Data Scientist to apply statistical modelling, classical ML, and rigorous analysis within NCS AI Central's Forward Deployed Engineering team in Singapore. You translate business problems into ML tasks, build baselines, and ensure Gen AI solutions meet quantitative benchmarks.

Senior Data Scientist will own problem framing, model validation strategy across engagements, and mentor junior data scientists while collaborating with AI Engineers and stakeholders to deliver measurable

Qualifications

• Strong grounding in statistics and modelling across regression, classification, clustering, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Experience delivering production ML solutions and working with structured data at scale.
• Ability to compare classical ML baselines with Gen AI approaches and explain results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into defined ML tasks and success metrics.
• Build and validate classical ML models and baselines; apply rigorous validation.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to compare Gen AI outputs with statistical baselines.
• Document methodology and results for technical and non-technical audiences.
