Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive.**The Role**Our team has developed whole-of-government tools like Cloak for anonymisation, which is used by 100+ agencies today and has anonymised over 30 million documents to power data analytics and Generative AI use cases, as well as Mirage for Synthetic Data Generation. Additionally, we partner across ecosystems to design and develop reusable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud-native data and AI products to address common industry challenges.We are seeking Data and AI Scientists across **three distinct tracks** to help architect Singapore’s digital future### ### Track A: Product & Software Integration (Mirage Focus)* **Model Development:** Design and conduct experiments to evaluate emerging Synthetic Data Generation (SDG) models (e.g., DDPM, ARF, Gaussian Copula). Tune hyperparameters, refine architectures, and investigate failure cases.* **Feature & Product Development:** Collaborate with software engineers to build product features requiring ML/DS input (e.g., imputation methods, handling of constraints, preprocessing pipelines).* **Diagnostics & Debugging:** Work directly with users and the engineering team to diagnose issues with training failures, poor outputs, or integration challenges.* **Collaboration:** Work closely with the software engineering team (Next.js, FastAPI, AWS) to integrate the generation engine into production-ready systems.### ### 2. Track B: Applied Research & Agency Partnership (PETs Portfolio)* **Applied Research & Development:** Design and execute rigorous experiments to evaluate emerging privacy solutions (Advanced Anonymisation, Homomorphic Encryption, Differential Privacy, Federated Learning). Translate academic research into practical, deployable proof-of-concepts.* **Agency Partnership & Pilot Implementation:** Collaborate directly with government agencies to understand unique privacy challenges, design and execute pilot programmes, and provide technical consultation throughout their adoption journey.* **Solution Innovation:** Identify opportunities where PETs can address common data challenges across government and establish clear implementation pathways for widespread ecosystem adoption.## 3. Track C: Cloud-Native & Advanced AI Applications (Industry Focus)* **AI Product Development:** Work with product owners, engineering teams, and industry partners throughout the product lifecycle from concept, data curation, to operationalisation.* **Advanced Workflow Deployment:** Hands-on development and deployment of AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and vector/graph databases.* **Architectural Engineering:** Develop and deploy software components based on a microservices-based architecture within agile secure software development processes.* **Geometric Modeling:** Propose and validate algorithms utilizing 3D geometry, vector math, coordinate systems, and mesh manipulation.**Who You Are*** Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.* At least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience.* Strong foundation in machine learning, with hands-on experience in model development and experimentation.* Strong programming proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).* Ability to analyze model behavior, diagnose training issues, and design experiments to optimize performance and reliability.* Working knowledge of backend development (REST APIs, FastAPI, Flask, or similar).* Comfortable working with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and engineering best practices (Git, CI/CD).* Demonstrated ability to read, synthesize, and critically evaluate academic research papers and technical literature* Extensive experience with OpenAI and Claude code-based prompt engineering.* Hands-on experience developing AI Agents and RAG.* Proficiency in relevant 3D modeling or CAD software (e.g., Blender, Revit) and/or programming libraries (e.g., OpenGL, CGAL, Three.js).* Familiarity with frontend integration workflows (Next.js/React).**Being You**The “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
