Job summary

OCBC invites applications for a Data Scientist in its AI Lab in Singapore. You’ll work on AI, machine learning, and hyper‑personalisation to address real-world banking problems impacting millions of customers.

You will collaborate with experienced data scientists and business stakeholders to design, deploy, and communicate insights, building scalable models and data stories across domains.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on data science experience.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries; familiarity with SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI-driven solutions for genAI copilots, recommendations, RAG and etc.
• Build and scale predictive and generative models using modern ML.
• Explore and apply Agentic AI concepts to automate decision‑making and enhance customer engagement.
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data across multiple domains.
• Develop compelling data stories through advanced visualisation and storytelling techniques.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to co-create innovative solutions using cloud, ML Ops, and real‑time data platforms.

• Experience with deep learning, NLP, or reinforcement learning, and exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop or Apache Spark
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and experimentation
