Job summary

Airswift, a leading global maritime shipping player, seeks a Data Scientist to join its Singapore team. You will own end-to-end data science pipelines, from data extraction and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment, partnering with business and operations to translate challenges into robust models.

The role emphasizes deep learning and transformers for structured data, with a strong focus on time-series forecasting and cloud-based AutoML for rapid prototyping and production

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in Data Science at production level.
• Advanced Python (PyTorch) and SQL skills.
• Experience with Docker and DL/Transformer models.
• Familiarity with tabular data, time-series forecasting, and cloud ML.
• Hands-on exposure to AutoML frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

A leading global player in maritime shipping is expanding its commercial team and seeking highly qualified candidates for the Data Scientist position based in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the full data science lifecycle by building reproducible, automated pipelines from raw data extraction and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Partner closely with business and operations teams to translate real-world operational challenges into effective feature engineering, custom model designs, and aligned evaluation metrics.
• Apply deep theoretical and practical understanding across the algorithm spectrum, ranging from foundational statistical models to complex Deep Neural Networks and Transformers.
• Specialize in structured/tabular data to build high-precision predictive solutions, experience with Computer Vision and multi-modal techniques is an advantage
• Leverage cloud-native AutoML frameworks to automate hyperparameter tuning, establish fast baseline benchmarks, and accelerate time-to-market for production models
• Support in any ad hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or other relevant field
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in Data Science at the production level.
• Advanced proficiency in Python (PyTorch), SQL, and Docker.
• Deep knowledge ranging from basic regression/tree models (XGBoost) to Deep Learning & Transformers.
• Strong expertise in tabular data modeling and time-series forecasting (sales, schedule, demand) and experience with Computer Vision is an advantage
• Hands-on experience with cloud ML platforms, including practical use of AutoML frameworks for rapid prototyping and baseline building
