As an intern, you will work closely with the Data Protection Office on day-to-day operations and improvement initiatives. The role provides practical exposure to privacy governance, data incident management, compliance monitoring, awareness activities and the use of technology to support efficient data protection processes.
You will support the team in embedding accountability, strengthening privacy controls and promoting a positive data protection culture across the firm. Through a combination of operational work and project assignments, you will gain an understanding of how privacy risks are identified, assessed, monitored and addressed in a professional services environment.
Support the day-to-day operations of the Data Protection Office, including maintaining records, tracking requests and preparing management information.
Assist with the preliminary assessment and triage of potential data incidents.
Support investigations, documentation, reporting and follow-up remedial actions relating to data incidents or privacy matters.
Contribute to privacy compliance reviews, data protection awareness activities, process improvements and other team projects.
Use automation tools, where appropriate, to monitor activities, identify exceptions and improve operational efficiency.
Able to commit full time from Jan 2027 – June 2027
University students pursuing studies in law, data governance, data privacy, risk and compliance, business, or any other related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with data analysis or automation tools is an advantage.
Clear communicator who is resourceful, collaborative and comfortable working with stakeholders across different levels of the firm.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
Possess a high level of resilience and positive work attitude
Willingness to learn and deliver timely and quality results to internal stakeholders
Good writing skills (English) is a plus
