Job summary

Singtel is building a vibrant, diverse tech organization in Singapore. You will design, develop, test, deploy and maintain enterprise applications, APIs, and backend services. The role spans DevOps, cloud administration, and infrastructure management to ensure scalable, secure production environments.

You will design CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and manage on-prem and cloud resources. Strong programming, security awareness, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Minimum 3 years of DevOps, infrastructure or cloud administration experience.
• Experience managing enterprise production environments.

Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications.
• Develop APIs, web applications, integrations, and backend services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
• Perform code reviews and enforce software development standards.

DevOps & CI/CD

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement DevOps best practices and deployment automation.
• Manage source control repositories and branching strategies.
• Automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

Infrastructure Management

• Administer on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage servers, virtual machines, storage, and network resources.
• Ensure infrastructure availability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies.

Network, Firewall & DNS Administration

• Configure and maintain enterprise firewalls.
• Implement and manage network security policies and access rules.
• Manage DNS services, domain records, SSL certificates, and VPN connections.
• Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues.
• Conduct security reviews and firewall audits.

Identity & Access Management

• Manage user access provisioning and deprovisioning.
• Administer Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and role-based access control.

• Conduct periodic access reviews and compliance audits.

Security & Compliance

• Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
• Implement security controls across applications and infrastructure.

Monitoring & Operational Support

• Monitor applications, infrastructure, and network services.

Skills for Success:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or cloud administration.
• Experience managing enterprise production environments.

Required Skillset

• Software Development: Experience in C#, .NET, Java, Node.js, Python or equivalent, including RESTful APIs, relational databases and secure coding practices.
• DevOps & Automation: Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform or Ansible.
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS; Google Cloud experience is advantageous.
• Containers: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; OpenShift is advantageous.
• Infrastructure & Systems: Knowledge of Windows/Linux administration and virtualization technologies.
• Networking & Security: Understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, SSL/TLS, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash and/or Python.

• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. Azure DevOps, Azure Administrator, Cybersecurity)
