The role includes end-to-end migration runbook management, data mapping strategies, complex loan data transformation validation, and leading technical cutover executions to ensure zero-defect transitions and continuity.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration SME withdeep domain knowledge in Commercial Lending and hands-on expertise inthe ACBS (Advanced Commercial Banking System) platform to drive criticaldata migration initiatives for the Mizuho Bank core platform rollout. Thecandidate will be responsible for end-to-end migration runbook management, datamapping strategy, complex loan data transformation validation, and leadingtechnical cutover executions to ensure zero-defect transitions and highoperational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Migration & Technical SME Leadership

• Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert for migrating legacy loan portfolios into the ACBS core lending platform during the Mizuho Bank rollout.
• Lead the definition, refinement, and execution of end-to-end data migration strategies, transformation rules, and data reconciliation frameworks.
• Deeply analyze legacy source schemas and target ACBS data structures to resolve complex data mapping gaps, loan staging discrepancies, and historical transaction alignment issues.

2. Cutover & Runbook Management

• Author, structure, and maintain detailed Cutover Runbooks, defining task dependencies, minute-by-minute execution timelines, fallback procedures, and validation checkpoints.
• Lead Mock Migration Rehearsals and live Go-Live Cutover Window operations, coordinating real-time execution across cross-functional teams and bank stakeholders.
• Manage risk mitigation logs during migration windows, ensuring rapid triage and resolution of cutover defects or data transformation anomalies.

3. Commercial Lending Domain Execution

• Apply deep functional expertise in Commercial Lending operations—including loan origination, facility/commitment structures, syndications, drawdowns, repayment schedules, collateral, and interest/fee accounting—to audit migration data integrity.
• Ensure migrated portfolio data complies with regulatory reporting standards and Mizuho Bank’s internal credit risk, accounting, and compliance baselines.

4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Partner closely with Mizuho business leads, technical architects, quality assurance teams, and third-party vendor platforms to maintain transparent communication and project milestone alignment.
• Facilitate data sign-off reviews and present migration audit readiness playbacks to executive client stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Core Platform: Hands-on experience with ACBS (Advanced Commercial Banking System) data structures, API/batch interfaces, and data conversion modules.
• Domain Mastery: Deep functional knowledge of Commercial & Corporate Lending (bilateral loans, syndicated facilities, revolving credit, trade finance, and loan servicing lifecycle).
• Operational Execution: Proven track record in authoring and managing complex, multi-system Migration Runbooks and leading live go-live cutovers for major tier-1 global banks.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Advanced SQL for data extraction, staging validation, and delta reconciliation across large-scale datasets.
• Familiarity with enterprise ETL tools, data profiling tools, and data mapping frameworks.
• Client & Communication Skills: Exceptional stakeholder presentation abilities, proactive issue escalation management, and experience leading offshore/onshore technical delivery models.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Prior experience on Bank software environments or legacy core banking transformations.
• Exposure to cloud-based data lake architectures, Snowflake, AWS, or modern API integration patterns alongside traditional core banking platforms.

Professional certifications in BusinessAnalysis, Data Management, or Agile Delivery methodologies.
