Job summary

Evolution Recruitment Solutions Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to drive data lakehouse initiatives. You will translate business needs into functional data specifications, collaborate with data engineers and analytics teams, and ensure governance and data quality across the platform.

You will gather requirements, document BRDs and user stories, and support SIT/UAT, data migration, and production deployment in a fast-paced banking/financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst / Functional BA, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Proven experience with Data Lake/Data Warehouse/Data Lakehouse or enterprise data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data flows, integration and lifecycle management.
• Hands-on SQL skills for data analysis, validation and reconciliation.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping, data lineage, modelling and data quality concepts.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, APIs, batch processing and real-time data integration.

Responsibilities

• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, data teams and tech teams to deliver data lakehouse initiatives.
• Gather, elicit and analyse business requirements for enterprise data, reporting, analytics and data platforms.
• Translate requirements into functional specs, data requirements, mappings and business rules.
• Define ingestion, transformation, storage and consumption requirements with engineering teams.
• Analyse as-is and to-be data flows, sources, mappings and downstream usage.
• Support data migration, integration and reconciliation activities.
• Coordinate across stakeholders to resolve data issues and ensure timely delivery.
• Support SIT/UAT, validation, defect management and business sign-off.
• Ensure data solutions comply with governance, security, privacy and regulatory requirements.
