Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a data governance professional to strengthen data governance and management practices. You will work with stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure data across systems and analytics, while upholding data definitions, lifecycle management, and compliance.

Role requires 2+ years in data governance or related areas, and proficiency with Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI. Experience in the Singapore public sector is an advantage.

Qualifications

• A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data governance and management, data security, or related roles.
• Ability to apply data tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI in a work setting.
• Exposure to data management or data catalogue tools would be an advantage.
• Experience in the Singapore public sector or large, complex organisations would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data governance policies, standards, and processes to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and trusted.
• Establish and maintain data management practices with clear definitions, documentation, and lifecycle processes.
• Drive continuous data quality improvements through checks, controls, and issue resolution.
• Strengthen data security and compliance practices, including access controls and data classification.
• Contribute to data strategy and enablement, aligning data needs with systems and reporting.
