Responsibilities

• Lead regional data platform design and improvement using Microsoft Fabric.
• Define scalable data ingestion, transformation, orchestration across SEA markets.
• Own technical design and optimize Lakehouse and Data Warehouse in Fabric.
• Establish Medallion Architecture standards for Bronze/Silver/Gold layers.
• Set data quality, lineage, and consistency standards.
• Provide technical direction for performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Lead governance of semantic models, datasets, and reporting layers in Power BI.
• Define enterprise-grade Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
• Drive governance and access controls for self-service analytics.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Specialist, Data Engineering to provide technical leadership for the regional Data & Analytics platform across Southeast Asia. The role is accountable for shaping, designing, and continuously improving scalable data solutions from ingestion and transformation in Microsoft Fabric through to enterprise reporting, semantic modelling, and visualization in Microsoft Power BI.

This role requires deep expertise in modern Microsoft data technologies, data architecture, analytics engineering, and stakeholder management. The position acts as the regional subject matter expert for data platform design, governance, performance, and best practices, partnering with business stakeholders, ERP and CRM teams, analysts, global teams, and regional leadership to deliver trusted, scalable, and business-ready data capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development ,and continuous improvement of regional data platform solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
• Define and guide scalable data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and automation patterns across regional analytics use cases.
• Own the technical design and optimization of Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions within Fabric.
• Establish and maintain Medallion Architecture standards and reusable data design principles for Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
• Set data quality, integrity, lineage, and consistency standards for regional analytics solutions.
• Provide technical direction for platform performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.

PowerBI Strategy and Enterprise Reporting

• Lead the design and governance of reusable semantic models, datasets, and certified reporting layers.
• Define and deliver enterprise-grade Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI frameworks for regional business decision-making.
• Set standards for Power BI performance, refresh reliability, usability, documentation, and report lifecycle management.
• Drive self-service analytics adoption while ensuring appropriate governance, access controls, and consistency of business definitions.

Translate complex regional business requirements into scalable analytics solutions and advise stakeholders on solution design options.

Data Integration and Regional Solution Design

• Lead integration design for data from multiple enterprise systems : SAP ERP, Salesforce CRM, SQL databases
• Define and oversee robust ELT/ETL processes, automation workflows, monitoring, and exception handling.
• Lead the delivery of regional reporting and analytics requirements across Southeast Asia markets, ensuring scalability and reusability across countries and business functions.

Data Governance, Security, and Standards

• Establish, implement, and continuously improve regional data governance standards and operating practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Technical Leadership

• Engage regional business stakeholders to understand strategic analytical needs, priorities, and pain points.
• Represent regional data requirements in architecture discussions, technology roadmaps, and data platform planning.
• Drive adoption of analytics best practices, common data definitions, and reusable solution patterns across the organization.
• Lead complex project delivery, solution testing, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities

Key Requirements

• University Degree in Computer Science, Data/Software engineering, Mathematics or any related field
• 7years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, or related data platform roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end analytics solutions in enterprise environments, including solution design, delivery governance, and stakeholder alignment.
• Experience supporting regional or multinational organizations, preferably with responsibility for multi-country analytics platforms or reporting solutions.
• Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple countries and business functions, including translating business priorities into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex data challenges into practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills, including the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
