Job summary
SimplifyNext, a Singapore-headquartered digital engineering firm, is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and deploy scalable data lakehouse platforms. You will architect end-to-end pipelines on cloud platforms such as Databricks, Spark, and Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data quality, governance and production readiness across client engagements.
You will work with AI-enabled delivery practices, collaborate with architects and analysts, and own pipelines through production with monitoring,
Qualifications
- Degree in CS/Info Sys or related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
- Experience with Databricks, Spark, Microsoft Fabric or AWS data platforms.
- Experience with lakehouse formats (Iceberg/Delta Lake) and ACID transactions.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on cloud platforms.
- Architect data lakehouse solutions with schema and partition evolution.
- Ensure data quality, governance, access controls and lineage.
- Develop production-ready data applications and deploy via CI/CD and IaC.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear technical documentation.
