Job summary

re-zoo-me is looking for a Data Engineer to support overseas data warehouse operations across mobile, IoT, and app data domains. You will develop data processing techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful insights.

You will build ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL, apply data modeling techniques, and create visualizations with Tableau or Power BI while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support regional analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, Data Science or related field.
• 1–3 years in data engineering, analytics, or related role.
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark or Flink.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one language (Python/Java/Scala).
• Basic data modeling and warehousing concepts.
• Exposure to Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of data mining or ML concepts a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork, Mandarin & English.

4. Apply basic data modeling and data mining techniques to process structured and semi-structured datasets
5. Assist in analyzing large datasets and generating insights to support overseas business operations
6. Create data visualizations and simple reports using BI or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support analytics use cases
8. Participate in testing, deployment, and monitoring of data workflows

Requirement:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
2. 1–3 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a related role
3. Familiarity with big data frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink
4. Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala)
5. Basic understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
6. Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
7. Basic knowledge of data mining or machine learning concepts is a plus
