Job summary

TikTok is seeking a data engineer to join Ad Data, owning the technical vision for advanced data products that power advertiser decisions at scale.

You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and analysts to design data products, build ETL processes, and ensure data quality while supporting streaming and batch pipelines. Join a fast-paced team focused on innovation, reliability, and delivering data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS or Mathematics).
• 2+ years in data warehouse space.
• 2+ years in schema design and dimensional data modeling.
• 2+ years in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
• 2+ years with big data technologies (Hadoop/Hive/Spark) and 2+ years of SQL.
• Hands-on programming in Python; familiarity with AI tools.
• Good communication to share data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Design data-related products with product managers and operations.
• Communicate data needs with engineers, product managers and analysts.
• Own data quality for allocated areas.
• Design, build and launch new data ETL processes in production.
• Support existing streaming and batch systems in production; handle on-call issues.
• Define and manage SLA for all datasets in allocated areas.
• Triage infra issues with data infrastructure and drive to resolution.
