Job summary

ENGIE Singapore is seeking a Data Centre Facilities professional to manage operations, maintenance, and project rollouts for critical facilities. You will monitor BMS systems, ensure safety, coordinate with subcontractors, and respond to incidents to keep data centre uptime high.

Ideal candidates have a engineering degree or equivalent and at least 3 years in a data centre environment. The role involves working on-site in Singapore and collaboration with internal and external teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience in data centre.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Data Centre operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, project rollout, and facilities related matters.
  • Monitor and maintain Data Centre infrastructure, BMS, raised floor, electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
  • Provide preventive and corrective maintenance on Data Centre infrastructure and services.
  • Ensure subcontractors deliver quality services and meet contractual obligations; supervise vendors.
  • Coordinate Data Centre maintenance and environmental management programs.
  • Perform equipment functionality tests and data analysis.
  • Maintain inventory and asset management, change controls, and parts procurement.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies; escalate as required to ENGIE and client hierarchy.
  • Be point of contact during significant events or escalations at sites.
  • Support and supervise Data Centre maintenance with internal/external parties; perform burn-in and leakage tests on IT equipment.
  • Provide standby support for shift duty and coverage.
  • Conduct routine checks and continuous assessment of Data Centre operations.
  • Update as-built drawings and schematics; maintain documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by line managers based on site and customer requirements.

Job description


  • Perform duty and/or shift duty roster to manage Data Centre operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, project rollout, and facilities related matters. This includes maintain and repair of infrastructure systems and all critical facilities equipment including the monitoring of BMS System.

  • Perform Data Centre monitoring and maintenance on infrastructure systems, critical facilities, and associated equipment. This includes raised floor environment, mechanical, electrical, emergency generators, fire/life safety systems and associated equipment.

  • Perform preventive and corrective support to scheduled or unscheduled maintenance on Data Centre infrastructure systems, critical facilities equipment and/or services.

  • Ensure all subcontractors deliver a quality and competent service and all contractual obligations are met. Supervise the vendors to all scheduled and adhoc activities related to DC Facilities.

  • Perform Data Centre and critical facilities work on environmental and management programs.

  • Perform equipment functionality test and data analysis.

  • Perform assets management duty. This includes maintaining of inventory, change and control programs, and purchase of parts and supplies.

  • Promptly respond and attend to incident and/or emergency situations. This includes fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc and do the necessary escalations, handling & reports to Engie and clients hierarchy.

  • Be the point of contact during significant events/incidents or multi-discipline technical escalations occurring within the specified sites.

  • Provide support, coordinate, and supervise Data Centre maintenance efforts. This includes coordination with internal and/or external parties, contractors, suppliers, and clients. Perform Burn-in Test & Current Leakage Test for Customers IT equipment.

  • Provide standby support upon activation for shift duty stand-in and/or other coverage.

  • Conduct routine, sanity check and on-going assessment of Data Centre infrastructure systems and critical facilities operations.

  • Comprehend, analyse, interpret documentation. This include maintaining and updating of as-built drawings and schematic diagram.

  • Perform other duties at time assigned by line managers including the updating of Inventory/Asset list, daily/monthly and other trending reports for analysis and records, conduct cross training, etc based on site and customer requirements.
