ONNEC builds, supports and optimises the IT infrastructure, networks and connectivity which drive global business performance. We are a rapidly growing organisation seeking engineers for cabling infrastructure and network hardware support at client sites.

The role is site-based with on-call duties and occasional weekend work. Responsibilities include patching, rack/stacking of data centre hardware, and ensuring connectivity across multiple client locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Voice and Data Cabling environment.
• Familiar with Moves/Adds/Changes in telecom/networks.
• Strong understanding of fibre and copper cabling and test equipment.
• Experience with rack and stack of server hardware.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM/asset tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ticket system; ensure SLA compliance.
• Audit and document existing cabling installations.
• Audit desktop configuration and patching/power at locations.
• Prepare patching schedules and use management software for planning.
• Power down and disconnect desktop equipment for reconnection.
• Carry out data wiping, copper/data terminations and fibre testing.
• Maintain stock records and update drawings/schedules.
• Install and test network hardware in Data Centre environments.
