Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Data Center Project Planner to lead planning, scheduling, tracking and coordination for data center build, upgrade, migration and infrastructure projects. You will ensure delivery on time, within budget and to safety and quality standards.

You will develop schedules, manage dependencies, coordinate resources, and communicate progress to leaders. The role requires strong PM experience in data centers and familiarity with power, cooling, networking and cloud infra.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 3-8 years of experience in project planning, data center construction, IT infrastructure projects, or PMO functions.
• Experience managing complex project schedules and dependencies.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and lifecycle management.
• PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-SP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with data center environments.
• Knowledge of power, cooling, networking, servers, storage, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar.
• Create project work breakdown structures (WBS), milestones, and timelines.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
• Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation plans.
• Coordinate project dependencies across multiple workstreams.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, vendors, contractors, and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate project status meetings and planning sessions.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and issues to leadership.
• Track resource allocation and utilization.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and facility requirements.
• Support capacity planning for power, cooling, rack space, network, and compute infrastructure.
• Maintain project risk and issue registers.
• Analyze schedule impacts resulting from scope changes.
• Support change management processes and approvals.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project dashboards.
• Generate schedule performance reports and KPI tracking.
• Support project audits, documentation, and compliance activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors on delivery schedules.
• Track procurement activities and equipment lead times.
• Monitor vendor performance against project commitments.
