Job summary

Google is seeking a Data Center Technician for Third Party Data Centers in Singapore. You will install, configure, test, and maintain hardware, including servers and networking components, and support data center operations.

You will collaborate with teammates to diagnose issues and ensure uptime, often performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role requires experience with hardware troubleshooting, OS/server/network diagnostics, and the ability to work non-standard

Qualifications

Experience assembling mechanical or electrical systems, or repairing components on technical equipment.
Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting OS, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
Ability to lift/move 23 kg (50 lb) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights, holidays, and shift work.

Responsibilities

Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment or infrastructure, following data center procedures.
Maintain data security and integrity in line with Google standards.
Disassemble equipment reaching end-of-life with team, replacing parts as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, and infrastructure with defined solutions.
