Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned network engineer to design, build and operate high-availability data centre networks in Singapore. You will own underlay/overlay fabrics, leaf-spine architectures, and inter-data-centre connectivity, ensuring throughput, reliability and security.

You will hands-on troubleshoot across physical, switching, routing, security and application layers, restore services, and drive permanent fixes.

Qualifications

• At least three years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, L2/L3 networking, routing and switching.
• Experience with data centre fabric concepts: leaf-spine, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, MLAG/vPC.
• Experience designing, configuring and troubleshooting data centre switches, firewalls and load balancers from major vendors.
• Understanding of north-south and east-west traffic flows and resilient connectivity patterns.
• Experience with network monitoring, telemetry, and incident management.
• Experience or interest in Python, Ansible, Terraform, APIs, Git and CI/CD.
• Ability to translate network standards into code/configurations.
• Interest in Network AI and AIOps for anomaly detection and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate high-availability data centre networks.
• Build and manage leaf-spine fabrics and inter-data-centre connectivity.
• Operate scalable underlay and overlay networks with BGP/OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN.
• Troubleshoot across physical, switching, routing, security, and application layers.
• Restore services and drive permanent fixes.
• Develop Network-as-Code automation for provisioning and validation.
• Use telemetry to optimize performance and support growth.
• Collaborate with cloud, compute, storage, and security teams.
