Job summary

Sycomp is seeking a Data Center Technician to build, configure, validate, and troubleshoot enterprise IT infrastructure in its Integration Center in Singapore. You will work with servers, storage, networking, racks, power, and cabling, ensuring all hardware meets project requirements before shipment.

The role requires independence, strong documentation interpretation, and adherence to safety and quality standards while supporting customer integration projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center, systems integration, or enterprise hardware environments.
• Hands-on with rack-mounted servers, network switches, storage, and cabling.
• Knowledge of data center hardware installation, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Understanding of Ethernet networking and connectivity testing basics.
• Ability to read and follow technical docs and installation instructions.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate enterprise technology solutions in a data center environment.
• Install, rack, cable, and validate servers, storage, networking, power, and console infra.
• Interpret engineering docs, rack elevations, BOMs, and installation procedures.
• Perform connectivity testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
• Document issues, corrective actions, and project completion status accurately.
• Maintain safety, quality, and operational standards in the integration center.
• Mentor junior technicians and support inventory and staging activities.
