Job summary

Amazon Web Services Singapore Private Limited is seeking an ICT Colo Regional Engineer Intern to assist with the design of physical-layer connectivity for data centers in the region. You will engage with cross-functional teams to support life-cycle data center projects from design inception through maintenance.

The role emphasizes fiber optic and copper cabling systems, regional collaboration, and ongoing learning under experienced ICT engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Master degree in a technical field.
• Studying Electrical/Telecommunications/Computer/Network Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optic and/or copper communications systems.
• Eligibility to work legally in Singapore.
• Excellent written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and equipment submittal review of scalable fiber optic & copper plant (physical-layer connectivity) for new Data Centers in your region.
• Support the review of ICT design, materials, and equipment submittals.
• Help identify, coordinate, and respond to risks and high-priority connectivity issues.
• Support new technology and design initiatives that improve processes, infrastructure quality, and reduce cost and installation time.
• Interface with internal data center design engineering, server hardware, and environmental health and safety teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
• Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
