Job summary

ByteBridge is seeking a Cabling Solution Engineer to design, cost and deliver structured cabling and data center infrastructure solutions for IT environments. You will work with Sales, Pre-Sales, Engineering and Project teams to develop practical cabling solutions and support projects through execution.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of copper and fiber cabling, site surveys and preparation of technical solutions, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, IT or related discipline.
Strong communication and coordination skills are required.
Able to work independently and manage multiple project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to travel or attend project sites when required.
Experience with copper and fiber cabling systems and fiber termination is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys and gather technical requirements for structured cabling and data center infrastructure projects.
Design copper and fiber optic cabling solutions based on customer requirements and site conditions.
Prepare cabling layouts, cable schedules, pathway requirements, rack elevations and related technical documentation.
Develop BOMs and support project costing and quotation preparation.
