Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based Data Lakehouse solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Lead end-to-end data architecture, including ingestion, modelling, analytics, governance, and security.
• Drive greenfield data platform builds from design through production.
• Oversee data engineering, pipelines, orchestration, quality, metadata, and lineage.
• Support AML monitoring, regulatory reporting, BI, and AI/ML use cases.
• Establish data governance, standards, and operating models.
• Work with business, technology, and regional stakeholders across APAC.
• Contribute to cloud, integration, IAM, networking, and security architecture.
• Regional exposure across Thailand, Korea, Japan, Myanmar, India, and the Philippines; limited travel required.

Data Architect - Commercial Banking / AML (APAC)

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect tolead the design and delivery of enterprise data platforms for Commercial/CorporateBanking, AML, and Financial Crime across APAC.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based Data Lakehouse solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP).


• Lead end-to-end data architecture, including ingestion, modelling, analytics, governance, and security.


• Drive greenfield data platform builds from design through production.


• Oversee data engineering, pipelines, orchestration, quality, metadata, and lineage.


• Support AML monitoring, regulatory reporting, BI, and AI/ML use cases.


• Establish data governance, standards, and operating models.


• Work with business, technology, and regional stakeholders across APAC.


• Contribute to cloud, integration, IAM, networking, and security architecture.


• Regional exposure across Thailand, Korea, Japan, Myanmar, India, and the Philippines; limited travel required.

Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data.


• Strong Commercial/Corporate Banking and AML/Financial Crime experience.


• Proven experience delivering large-scale, multi-stream data programs.


• Strong knowledge of Data Lakehouse technologies, cloud platforms, data modelling, ETL/ELT, streaming, and data governance.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
