Job summary

Morgan McKinley Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a data engineering professional to design and implement data jobs and reporting solutions meeting analytical needs.

You will refine data collection, build dashboards with SAP BO/Tableau, and work with Python, PySpark, Linux, and ETL tools such as Informatica. Experience with Cloudera AI and related data platforms is highly desirable to support automation and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
• Extensive experience with SQL, data modelling and data analysis.
• Hands-on with Python, PySpark, Linux, and ETL tools like Informatica.
• Experience with BI/reporting tools such as SAP BO and Tableau.
• Familiarity with Hive/Impala and Cloudera Data Platform is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data needs and document the requirements.
• Refine data collection/consumption by migrating data collection to more efficient channels.
• Plan, design and implement data engineering jobs and reporting solutions to meet analytical needs.
• Develop test plans and scripts for system testing, support user acceptance testing.
• Build reports and dashboards according to user requirements.
• Work with technical teams to ensure smooth deployment and adoption of new solution.
• Ensure the smooth operations and service level of IT solutions.
• Support production issues.
• Apply AI coding tools such as Copilot and Coder AI to support development, testing, and code reviews.
• Use automation to improve development efficiency, including build, test, and deployment activities.
• Leverage AI assistance to improve code quality, covering refactoring, defect resolution, and documentation.
• Demonstrate willingness to adopt new AI and automation tools where relevant to work outcomes.
