Job summary

Xiaomi Technology Singapore is seeking a motivated student intern to annotate, classify, and organize diverse data sets for AI/LLM projects, following predefined guidelines.

You'll clean, validate, and help build high-quality datasets, conduct quality checks, and support model evaluation and performance analysis as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, DS, statistics, math, IS, or related field.
• Fluent in Chinese and English; German is a plus.
• Able to commit to at least 6 months of internship.

Job description

Responsibilities

• 1. Annotate, classify, and organize various types of data, including text, data query requirements, and SQL-related data, based on predefined business rules and annotation guidelines.
• 2. Understand business requirements and data specifications, and perform data cleaning, annotation, validation, and exception handling to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• 3. Assist in building and maintaining high-quality datasets for AI and large language model (LLM) applications.
• 4. Conduct quality checks and reviews of annotated data, identify inconsistencies or potential issues, and provide timely feedback for improvement.
• 5. Support AI/LLM-related projects in data preparation, model evaluation, and performance analysis.
• 6. Collaborate with team members to continuously improve annotation guidelines, workflows, and overall data quality.
• 7. Assist with other data analysis and data-related tasks as required by the project.

Requirements

• 1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2. Strong logical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to understand business requirements and apply data annotation guidelines accurately.
• 3. Responsible, patient, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of data quality and consistency.
• 4. Strong learning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand new business scenarios and data specifications.
• 5. Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills. German language proficiency is a plus.
• 6. Interest or hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models (LLM), data analytics, or related fields is preferred.
• 7. Able to commit to at least 6 months of internship; candidates with longer availability are preferred.
