Job summary

Synapxe in Singapore is seeking an IT security professional to manage technical risk and support security operations. The role includes collaborating with stakeholders, performing risk assessments, and developing detection use cases to mitigate threats.

You will stay current on cyber threats and ensure timely compliance with security controls, reporting metrics to management as part of ongoing risk management efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity risk management and security operations.
• Familiarity with PAM, DB, WAF, Firewall, and EPP/EDR controls.
• Ability to perform risk assessments and define mitigation actions.
• Ability to build detection content and reduce false positives.
• Experience using threat intelligence and IOC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage technical risk, security operations, and SOC.
• Act as IT security expert for cyber security assessments, PAM, Database, WAF, Firewall and EPP/EDR.
• Perform risk assessment and identify mitigation controls for the risk area identified.
• Enhance and build cyber threat detection use cases and assist in analysing and reducing false positives.
• Identify infection/compromise using threat intelligence and IOCs from various sources.
• Ensure all compliance and security controls are performed timely and orderly.
• Drive continuous improvement of procedures related to cybersecurity processes and operations monitoring.
• Track, monitor and provide action plans to rectify security issues and prevent recurrence.
• Generate security reports and metrics as required.
• Provide timely updates to management on security matters.
• Stay current on the latest cyber threats, attacks and vulnerabilities.
