Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, security operations, or a related technical role.
• Hands‑on knowledge of CNAPP and container security.
• Knowledge of database security technologies and database schemas/architecture.
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms and continuous security monitoring.
• Fundamental knowledge of IP networking; CCNA knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security technology alerts and incidents; escalate as needed.
• Provide operational support for security solutions and coordinate with teams/vendors to resolution.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement regular security updates and patches.
• Handle Change Requests (CRs), Service Requests (SRs) per procedures and SLAs.
• Perform continuous monitoring and health checks of security systems.
• Support cloud‑native application security, database security, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams on incident management and reporting.
• Keep up to date with emerging cybersecurity technologies and practices.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and security records.

Job Description

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to support the day-to-day operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise security technologies.

The role will work closely with internal IT and cybersecurity teams as well as technology vendors to ensure security platforms remain operational, compliant, and effective.

The successful candidate will have hands‑on experience in security operations and familiarity with cloud‑native security, database security, vulnerability management, and network fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

• Incident Management:
• Monitor and respond to security technology alerts and reported incidents. Investigate issues and **escalate** incidents or problems to relevant technical teams or technology vendors within the required service levels.
• Troubleshooting & Technical Support:
• Provide operational support for security solutions, troubleshoot product‑specific technical issues, and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors through to resolution.
• Patch Management:
• Plan, coordinate, and implement regular security updates and patches to address vulnerabilities and maintain system compliance.
• Service & Change Requests:
• Handle Change Requests (CRs), Service Requests (SRs), and other operational queries in accordance with established procedures and service levels.
• System Monitoring:
• Perform continuous monitoring and regular health checks of security systems to identify issues and ensure operational effectiveness.
• Security Operations:
• Support the administration and operation of security technologies, including cloud‑native application security, database security, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Collaboration & Reporting:
• Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams on incident management, operational reporting, technical investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proactive Security:
• Keep up to date with emerging cybersecurity technologies, vulnerabilities, and industry practices, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen the overall security posture.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and security‑related records.
• Ensure activities follow established security standards and processes.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, security operations, or a related technical role.
• Hands‑on knowledge or operational experience with
• Cloud‑Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP) and container security.
• Experience with Aqua Security (AquaSec) or similar cloud‑native/container security technologies is an advantage.
• Knowledge of database security technologies and database schemas/architecture.
• Experience with Imperva Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) or similar database security solutions is an advantage.
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms and continuous security monitoring.
• Knowledge of Tenable Vulnerability Management (Tenable VMS) or similar vulnerability management solutions is an advantage.
• Fundamental knowledge of IP networking, including TCP/IP, routing, and related networking concepts. CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with internal technical teams and external technology vendors.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within defined service levels and operational procedures.
