Job summary

sggovterp is seeking an Analyst to join a 24 x 7 Cybersecurity Operations Centre (SOC) as a 2-year contract role in Singapore. The role focuses on advanced cyber threat monitoring, detection, and active defence for MAS.

You will work with internal teams and cross-agency partners to investigate and respond to cybersecurity threats in a timely manner. Responsibilities include monitoring, tuning detection rules, automation development, threat hunting, and contributing to security projects and SOP

Qualifications

• Background in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
• Experience with SOC operations and incident response.
• Knowledge of hacking and digital investigations.
• Familiarity with networking, Windows/Linux administration.
• Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructures.
• Basic scripting/programming.
• Able to work independently or in teams.
• Analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the integrated SOC for threat monitoring and detection for MAS.
• Collaborate with internal teams and partners to investigate and respond to threats promptly.
• Perform threat monitoring, rules tuning, automate infrastructures, threat hunting, and security projects.
• Develop new rules based on changing threats and environment.
• Generate periodic management reports.
• Improve efficiency and quality through automation.
• Lead or participate in forums/projects/exercises on cyber security.
