Job summary

DBS Bank is seeking a cybersecurity engineer to drive regional security projects, guide incident recovery, and support cross-functional teams in securing critical applications. The role requires a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and hands-on scripting/automation to streamline operations.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across the bank, stay current with industry trends, and contribute to a proactive security posture by implementing innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering or information security role, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (NIST, ISO, OWASP).
• Technical experience with UNIX, AIX, Linux, Windows.
• Knowledge of encryption/authentication methods (2FA, DES, Digital Certificates, SSL, IPSec) and DMZ development.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with focus on automation to reduce manual tasks.
• Ability to correlate data from multiple log sources to create automation use cases.
• Proficient in scripting/automation tools (Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
• Certifications in CISSP, CISA, GIAC are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive security projects across the region with vendors and stakeholders.
• Guide L1 teams in incident recovery and investigations.
• Oversee application change deployments, monitoring, and observability solutions.
• Collaborate to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Identify areas for process improvement and automation.
• Provide technical guidance on cybersecurity matters to the organization.
• Stay up-to-date with security trends and technologies.
