Job summary

DBS Bank is seeking a cybersecurity engineer to drive regional security projects, guide incident recovery, and support cross-functional teams in securing critical applications. The role requires a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and hands-on scripting/automation to streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering or information security role, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (NIST, ISO, OWASP).
• Technical experience with UNIX, AIX, Linux, Windows.
• Knowledge of encryption/authentication methods (2FA, DES, Digital Certificates, SSL, IPSec) and DMZ development.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with focus on automation to reduce manual tasks.
• Ability to correlate data from multiple log sources to create automation use cases.
• Proficient in scripting/automation tools (Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
• Certifications in CISSP, CISA, GIAC are desirable.

• Drive security projects across the region which involves vendor management, collaboration with stakeholders, business users and application teams
• Responsible for guiding L1 teams in incident recovery, providing technical expertise for investigations, facilitating service requests, and offering end-user support for application-related issues.
• Oversees application change deployments, monitors application performance and capacity, and maintains critical documentation and observability solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, ensuring a comprehensive and proactive approach to cybersecurity
• Identify areas of improvement through process improvement and/or automation.
