Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange Holdings, Inc. seeks an engineer focused on backend services and automation to support Red Team, Blue Team, Threat Intelligence, and Governance, Risk and Compliance.

The role combines software development, AI-assisted coding, and system administration in a regulated financial infrastructure environment. You will design secure backend apps, develop APIs, manage data pipelines, and apply IaC with CI/CD, Docker, and Git.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development with backend/automation focus.
• Proficient in Python and Django or similar backend framework.
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL, and relational databases.
• Linux system administration and Bash scripting.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Knowledge of secure coding and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure backend applications and automation services using Python, Django, and other frameworks.
• Develop APIs and security platform integrations; build data pipelines and efficient SQL queries.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools for development, review generated code and validate functionality and security.
• Administer Linux environments; manage services, permissions, logs, and troubleshooting.
• Automate testing, deployments, and provisioning through CI/CD, containers, and IaC.
• Collaborate with security teams to deliver automation, analytics, and detection workflows; support production services.
