Job summary

Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is seeking a SOC Analyst to join a 24 x 7 Cybersecurity Operations Centre. You will monitor, detect, and respond to threats, working alongside internal teams and partners to strengthen cyber defences.

Key duties include threat monitoring, rule tuning, automation development, and participation in security projects and exercises. A strong background in engineering/CS and SIEM/EDR/XDR is expected, with flexibility for standby off-hours.

Qualifications

• Background in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
• Experience with SIEM and EDR/XDR in SOC environments.
• Knowledge of networking, Windows or Linux administration.
• Familiarity with cloud services and basic scripting.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a 24 x 7 Cybersecurity Operations Centre (SOC).
• Develop and enhance the integrated SOC for threat monitoring and detection.
• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity threats in collaboration with internal teams.
• Perform threat monitoring, rules tuning, automation development, threat hunting, and SOP updates.
• Develop new rules based on changing threats and generate management reports.
• Improve efficiency through automation and participate in forums/projects.
